WebApr 6, 2024 · I am using the blue/white wire. It reads double the actual RPM. I was originally running an E38 GM ECU. It's output is not a "V8" signal, thanks to GM's engineers. So to get the tach to read correctly on that setup, you have to make it a "4 cylinder" tach. That's done by cutting the two small wires on the back of the tach.
